Dr. Haitham Altaie is a neurosurgeon at Al-Fallujah Teaching Hospital, located in Al-Anbar, Iraq. He earned his M.B.Ch.B. degree from Al-Anbar University, College of Medicine, in 2016, and is board certified by the Arab Board of Medical Specializations in Neurosurgery (July 2025).
His clinical and academic interests include neuro-oncology, spine surgery, functional neurosurgery, and skull base surgery. Dr. Altaie’s work reflects a strong commitment to advancing neurosurgical practice and improving patient outcomes through innovation and precision-based approaches.
He has contributed to the scientific literature with his published research titled “Intracranial Ricocheted-Bullet Injuries: An Overview and Illustrative Case.” In addition, he serves as a team member of the Iraqi Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) team, participating in pioneering efforts to enhance functional neurosurgery in the region.
Dr. Altaie’s professional mission centers on building an international bridge between neurosurgeons in the Middle East and the global neurosurgical community, fostering collaboration, education, and shared advancement in the field.
